ITOCHU Aviation, Inc., a subsidiary wholly owned by the ITOCHU Corporation through ITOCHU International, Inc., was formed in 1973 to engage mainly in the marketing and export of aerospace products from the United States to Japan and other Asian countries through its business partners in Japan, ITOCHU Aviation Co., Ltd.
As a representative for 
various leading North American aerospace manufacturers, ITOCHU Aviation, Inc. markets its products in East Asia to government agencies, prominent aerospace and defense manufacturers and commercial airlines and aircraft operators. Products include aircraft, aircraft subsystems, airborne electronics, defense electronics and related support equipment. The company has diversified its business to include the financing and leasing of aircraft, as well as exploring new opportunities utilizing aerospace-based technologies. The company actively promotes projects aimed at preservation of the natural environment through the application of advanced technologies made available to the private sector by U.S. defense contractors.
The headquarters are in El Segundo, California close to many top aerospace and electronics firms. Branch offices are maintained in New York, Seattle, Philadelphia, Wichita and Washington, D.C.
